About Framing art - Not all artworks require framing, mounting and glass cover. In general works on paper and many textiles should have a glass cover and be mounted. Glass is needed to keep the art clean and the mount to protect the artwork from touching the glass. Oils and acrylics on canvas or on board do not generally need a glass cover or mounting, as they need to breathe. They can be framed to help enhance and protect them.
Please note some art works on Art Engagement have already been framed, in these instances the art work will be sold and shipped with the frame and the price shown is inclusive of the art work frame, unless stated otherwise. Artworks that are being sold framed, will indicate this in the description section next to the relevant artwork.
Along with each artwork on Art Engagement we may indicate any framing recommendations. A local art frame shop to you should be able to advise and arrange framing / glass and mounting services for art works at their additional cost, payable by you and for clients in Estonia we recommend O Jrsi to assist with framing needs
