Solaye Nova

I am Solaye Nova. First and foremost I'm an artist, enjoying living and working in Estonia.

There are two schools that have influenced my artistic direction, first is modern European art school and the other is school of classical academic painting, which I found in St.Petersburg at Repin's State Art Academy.

The mixture of different almost polar philosophy and positions in painting of these schools turned on the flexibility of thinking and the freedom of expression at one side and the secrets of technique, used by old classical masters from another.

My art vision, is an integrated collage of different interpretations of reality, senses, states and emotions. To believe in making the picture pleasing to the eye, as well as a record of a very specific time and place, which is very unique and intimate is a passion for me.
